Description
The Witches' Cross is a Grade II listed cross located at Crows-an-Wra in St Buryan. This cross features a pre-Conquest granite wheel-headed monolith that is set into a later 19th-century granite stepped base. The cross has a tapered integral shaft and is rectangular in plan, resting on a square base. One face of the cross displays a flared Latin cross in relief with recessed segments, while the opposite face features a recessed cross patee. The cross is noted in the source "Crosses of West Cornwall" by Laura Rowe and is designated as a Scheduled Ancient Monument.
