Description
The cross located approximately 6 metres southeast of the porch of the Church of St Buryan is a Grade II listed structure. It features a cross head set on a later base, which is likely from the 18th or early 19th century. The cross is made of dressed granite and has a pierced wheel-head with a moulded cross patee in bold relief, displaying five bosses on one side and the crucifixion on the other. It is set into what may be the original socketted base, which is over a stepped pyramid. This cross is noted in "Crosses of West Cornwall" by Laura Rowe and is designated as a Scheduled Ancient Monument.
