Harbour View Harbour View Crafts And Thoughts

Harbour View, originally known as Harbour View Hotel, is a building located on the north side of North Quay in Padstow, dating from the early 19th century. It was originally associated with the harbour and has since been converted into flats, with two shops on the ground floor. The building is constructed of slate stone rubble and rendered at the base, topped with a slate roof featuring gable ends and brick end stacks.

The structure has a double depth plan, with the entrance located to the left of center. The two main rooms at the front are heated by end stacks. The exterior is three storeys high and features a regular four-window front, with windows set in their original sash openings. The entrance is framed by a 19th-century style doorcase that has a moulded cornice supported by corbelled brackets. There is a 20th-century window to the left of the entrance and two to the right. The first and second floors each have four replacement 16-pane sash windows, all of which have brick segmental arches above them. The ground floor was altered in the late 20th century to accommodate the shops.
