Crown Hotel, 9 North Crescent, Portpatrick

The Crown Hotel, located at 9 North Crescent in Portpatrick, is an earlier 19th-century building. This two-storey hotel features an attic and has a near square plan, facing the harbour. The exterior is finished with harled walls and has a base course, with architraved surrounds framing the windows.

On the southwest elevation, which serves as the entrance, there is a single window in the center at ground level, with entrances flanking it. The entrances have timber doors topped with letterbox fanlights. There are also single windows at ground level on the outer left and right sides. The first floor has regular fenestration, and the attic features two gabled dormers with timber bargeboards.

The windows predominantly consist of four-pane timber sash and case glazing, along with a rooflight. The roof is covered with modern concrete tiles and has a broad coped ridge stack with polygonal chimney cans.

The interior was not seen in 1997.
