Harbour House Hotel, 53 Main Street, Portpatrick

The Harbour House Hotel, located at 53 Main Street in Portpatrick, is an earlier 19th century, two-storey building with an attic and basement, designed in an L-plan. It features a painted render finish, with a base course, blocking course, quoin strips, and margins around the windows.

On the southeast elevation, there are steps leading to a central entrance, which has a two-leaf timber door topped by a decorative fanlight. Above this entrance, there is a single window aligned at the first floor. The basement has small openings at the flanking bays, while the ground and first floors display regular fenestration. The attic is adorned with two canted dormers.

The southwest elevation, facing North Crescent, is two bays wide and similarly features small openings at the basement, with regular fenestration on the ground and first floors, and two canted dormers in the attic.

The windows are made of plate glass in timber sash and case style. The roof is covered with grey slate and has a piended design, with corniced ridge stacks and circular cans. The interior was not seen in 1997.
