Description
The Waterfront Hotel, located at 7 North Crescent in Portpatrick, is an earlier 19th-century building. It is a three-storey, three-bay house with an asymmetrical plan and is finished in render. The second-floor windows extend through the eaves and are topped with bargeboarded gabled dormer heads.
On the southwest elevation, which serves as the entrance, there is a central doorpiece with consoles and a cornice. The timber door features a letterbox fanlight, and there are flanking windows at the ground floor. The first floor has three regularly spaced single windows, while the second floor has single windows positioned to the outer left and right.
The windows are four-pane timber sash and case style. The roof is covered with grey slate, and there are stone skews, broad corniced gablehead stacks, and polygonal chimney cans.
The interior was not seen in 1997. There is also a low boundary wall surrounding the site.
