Description

St Helen's is a later 19th-century, two-storey, three-bay rectangular-plan house located on Seaside Place in Aberdour. The building features a canted, chamfered double-height window in the third bay, and the windows in the first and second bays have lugged architraves. The principal elevation is constructed of ashlar stone with raised long and short quoins, a base course, and an eaves cornice, while the rest of the building is made of droved, snecked rubble.

The southeast, or principal elevation, is asymmetrical and has a short flight of steps leading to a central door, which is framed by a pilastered doorpiece with an entablature and a moulded cornice. To the right of the door is a four-light double-height canted window, and there is a window to the left at ground floor level. The first-floor openings are centered above those below.

The southwest elevation is partially visible and has an inserted ground floor window that is offset to the left. The northeast elevation is attached to two Seaside Place.

The house features a timber panelled door with a two-pane letterbox fanlight and predominantly replacement four-pane timber sash and case windows. The roof is piended slate, and there are shouldered, corniced wallhead stacks with polygonal clay cans.
