Description

Harbourside, located at 3 North Crescent in Portpatrick, is an earlier 19th-century building that features extensive additions from the later 19th century. The structure is two stories high, with three bays facing Harbourside and two bays facing Craigview. The exterior is finished with harling and includes a modillioned cornice on the Harbourside, as well as quoin strips. The windows of Craigview have painted margins.

On the southwest entrance elevation, Harbourside has a central doorpiece that is pilastered and corniced, featuring a timber door with a letterbox fanlight. There is a bipartite window on the first floor, along with flanking canted bay windows, where the first-floor windows break the eaves. The Craigview side has an entrance to the left with a recessed timber door and letterbox fanlight, a single window at ground level to the right, and two single windows on the first floor that also break the eaves.

The Harbourside features stained glass windows, while Craigview has four-pane timber sash and case windows. The roof is made of grey slate, with stone skews, coped gablehead stacks, and both circular and polygonal cans.

The interior was not seen in 1997. The property has a modern boundary wall enclosing Harbourside, while Craigview retains its original decorative railings and boundary walls.
