Description
The Lobster Pot is a shop with accommodation above, dating from the early 19th century. It is likely constructed with a soft-wood timber frame and has a rendered stone rubble base. The building features a slate-hung exterior and a scantle slate roof with gable ends.
The overall plan is rectangular and single-depth, with the shop occupying the ground floor. The ground rises to the rear left. The building stands three stories tall, with slate hanging above the ground floor. The ground floor has a 20th-century shop window, while the first and second floors contain three 20th-century windows in openings that were originally designed for sash windows or 2-light casements.
The interior of the ground floor has been altered in the 20th century. This building is particularly prominent on the southwest side of Padstow harbour.
