Description

A house, now a hotel, dating from the late 18th or early 19th century. The building is constructed of slate stone rubble with a slate roof, featuring half-hipped ends and brick end stacks. The original layout is a double-depth plan with the main entrance located to the right of the centre. The principal rooms are situated at the front, consisting of a large room on the left and a smaller room on the right, with service rooms to the rear.

The exterior presents a regular four-window façade. It has C20 windows set within earlier, unaltered openings. Segmental arches define the ground and first-floor window openings. A C20 door is positioned to the right of the centre, flanked by two mullion and transom windows to the left and a single window to the right. The first floor features four mullion and transom windows, and there are four C20 windows above.

The interior includes a staircase believed to be dating from the late 18th or early 19th century; it may have been reset and features turned newels and a ramped moulded rail.
