Description
Two houses, dated approximately to the late 18th century, stand on the north side of High Street, Padstow. They are constructed of snecked stone rubble with a slate roof, featuring gable ends. Brick end and axial stacks are present.
The houses likely have a double depth plan, with central entrances leading to two principal rooms at the front, heated by end stacks, and service rooms at the rear.
The two-storey front has a regular 2:3 window arrangement. Number 22 has a 20th-century door centrally positioned, flanked by two 19th-century four-pane sash windows. Above, there are two 20th-century windows within original openings, and a gabled full dormer containing a two-light casement. Number 20, to the right, features a 20th-century door with a 19th-century doorcase, flanked by two four-pane sashes. Three further 19th-century four-pane sashes are above, along with a gabled full dormer.
The interior has not been inspected.
