Description

No. 27 on High Street in Padstow, known as Tabb House, is a small single-storey building dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of brick in an irregular bond and features a slate roof with gable ends. The overall plan is rectangular, with the entrance located on the long side of the front elevation, to the left of center, and a parallel range extending to the rear. The front has a regular two-window arrangement, with a door on the left and two early 19th-century hornless 12-pane sash windows positioned near the center and to the right. Inside, there is simple 19th-century joinery and carpentry detail. Originally a penny library, it is now used as a store.
