Description
This is a house located at 2 Heavitree Road, dating from around 1750, with alterations made in the 20th century. It is constructed of sandstone rubble, which was likely originally rendered, and features an asbestos slate roof. The building has had its stacks removed, except for those at the back.
The house has a double depth plan with a front room on either side of a central entrance, and there is a blocked second entrance on the left end of the building. It stands three storeys high and has two windows, all of which are 20th-century PVC sashes. The central entrance features a 20th-century panelled door, framed by a doorcase with panelled cheeks and soffit, topped with a modillion cornice. On the left side, there are 20th-century PVC sash windows on the ground and first floors, with timber lintels, and a 20th-century door with a pediment to the right. The interior has been significantly altered in the 20th century.
