Description

This is a house dating to around 1840, with alterations made in the 20th century. It is constructed of rendered stone rubble with a hipped slate roof and brick stacks. The house has a double-depth plan, featuring a central entrance hall with a staircase at the rear, two main rooms at the front, and likely smaller service rooms to the rear. A single-story wing was added to the left side to create an unheated service room. The principal rooms have a garden aspect, while the rear of the house looks onto the road.

The front elevation has two storeys, a plinth, and three windows. These windows are 16-pane sashes within raised, eared architraves, with long and short rusticated quoins. A central glazed door, topped with a fanlight, is housed within a 20th-century polygonal conservatory. Deep, bracketed eaves are present. The right side of the building is in painted stone rubble, featuring a 6-pane light window at ground floor right and a 2-light casement with toplights. A similar casement window is located at the first floor to the right. The left side incorporates the single-story service room addition, with a 6-pane light window to the gable end. A 6-pane window was installed at the first floor to the left in the 20th century. The rear elevation has a central round-headed stair light with a keystone and brick arch, featuring Gothic interlaced glazing bars, which is a 20th-century sash window with a flat head. The interior has not been inspected.
