Description

This is a mid-18th century house, originally built as a single dwelling, but later divided into two separate residences. It is located in Lower Row, Maker-with-Rame. The house has a double-depth plan with a central entrance situated between the front rooms and includes a basement that has been converted into a separate house. The exterior is constructed of rubble with a slate-hung front, and finished with a slate roof. The building is arranged over three storeys and a basement, and features three windows on each floor. These windows are plate-glass sashes, some of which are 20th-century replacements. The central entrance has a six-panelled door with an overlight, featuring Gothic glazing, wave-moulded pilasters and a cornice supported on consoles. The basement level has a half-glazed door with margin glazing. The interior of the house has not been inspected.
