Description

No. 3, known as Snips and Brian's Delicatessen, is a pair of houses, one of which features a shopfront, dating from around the mid-19th century. The front is finished in stucco, and the roof is made of scantle slate with projecting eaves. There are brick chimneys located over the party wall on the left and over the hipped end on the right. The building has a double depth plan with later extensions at the rear.

The left-hand house has an entrance passage on the left side and a shopfront on the right. The right-hand house consists of two equal front rooms on either side of a central entrance hall. The exterior is two stories high with a total of six windows on the east-north-east front. Each house features a three-window front. The left-hand house has a doorway on the left with a blind window above it, and the shopfront is located beneath the middle window, with its doorway under the right-hand window. The original shopfront slightly projects and has six lights at the front along with shallow sidelights. There is an original fascia with an entablature, although it is obscured by a 20th-century fascia. The original double partly glazed doors are also present. The right-hand house has a symmetrical three-window front with a central doorway and a blind window above. All windows throughout the building are original 12-pane hornless sashes. The interior has not been inspected.
