Description

Trebartha Place is a terrace of cottages and small houses located on the south side of St Erth Fore Street, with a date plaque indicating construction in 1831 on No. 26. The buildings are made of granite rubble with granite dressings and feature scantle slate roofs for most houses, while No. 26 has concrete tiles. Brick chimneys are positioned over the party walls and gable ends, and cast-iron ogee gutters are present.

The layout consists of a double depth plan, with each house featuring either two rooms at the front with a passage between or one room at the front with a passage at one side. The exterior is two storeys high, showcasing a row of similar two-window fronts with central doorways, as well as one-window fronts with doorways at one side. The original openings have been preserved, including a four-panel door to No. 16, six-panel doors to Nos. 28 and 44, and an old door to No. 30, while other doors have been replaced. Most windows are 19th-century hornless sashes or horned copies, although Nos. 44 and 46 have 20th-century windows. Notably, there was originally an opening between Nos. 34 and 36.

The interiors have not been inspected. The shallow gardens feature low granite-coped rubble front walls with round-headed granite monolithic gate piers.
