Description
Kittiwake Cottage is a house dating from the late 18th century, located on Middle Street in Port Isaac. The building is constructed of stone rubble, rendered and painted above the ground floor, and features a slate roof with gable ends and a heavy moulded cornice. There is a brick chimney stack on the left-hand gable end.
The layout consists of a two-room single depth plan, with an alley on the left side leading to a rear courtyard. The entrance to Kittiwake Cottage is accessed from this alley. The cottage has two storeys and a regular two-window front. On the ground floor, there is an entrance to the alley on the left and a 19th-century two-light sliding sash window on the right. The first floor features two early 19th-century hornless 12-pane sash windows. The interior has not been inspected.
