Description
Quay Cottage is a house dating from around the mid-19th century, located on the south side of Fore Street in Port Isaac. The building is constructed of stone rubble and has a rendered front, topped with an asbestos slate roof that features a gable end at the front. It has a two-room double depth plan that is one room wide, with the entrance located in the right-hand side elevation near the front.
The cottage is two storeys tall with an attic and has a symmetrical two-window front. On both the ground and first floors, there are two 19th-century four-pane sash windows, with an additional 19th-century four-pane sash window located above in the gable end. The right-hand side of the building has a 20th-century partly glazed stable-type door and a 20th-century dormer window in the attic. The interior has not been inspected. Quay Cottage is included in the listing for its group value.
