Description
No. 17 Church Street is a mid-19th century house constructed from coursed squared granite with quoins and a tiled roof that imitates slate. The building has a double-depth plan and stands two storeys high with three bays, arranged almost symmetrically. It features a plinth made of large granite blocks and a central doorway that has a recessed six-panel door, with the upper pair being glazed and a reeded central rail. To the left of the doorway is a 16-pane sashed window, while to the right is a large tripartite sashed window. The first floor has three 16-pane sashes, with the central window being narrower. All openings are surrounded by quoined surrounds, and there are gable chimneys. The interior has not been inspected.
