Description

The Vicarage is a mid- to late 19th-century vicarage. It is built of scored stucco, painted yellow, with a tiled roof designed to resemble slate. The building has a rectangular plan, two storeys, and three bays. It includes a plinth, a sill band at the first floor level, and channelled corner pilasters. A rectangular, flat-roofed porch is centrally located, featuring vermiculated corner pilasters, round-headed lights to the door and matching side windows, a plain frieze, and a moulded cornice. The first bay of the front elevation has a 12-pane sash window with vermiculated jambs and a keystone, and a cornice resting on fluted consoles. The first and second bays at the first floor level have 16-pane sash windows with moulded architraves and vermiculated keystones. The third bay has blind architraves, matching those of the windows and concealing the back of an internal chimney. A front-wall chimney is present on the third bay, and a side-wall chimney is located to the left. The two-bay right-hand return wall has windows that match those on the front elevation. The rear of the building and its interior have not been inspected.
