Description
The former Church of All Saints, now derelict, was built in 1828 by C. Hutchins. It is constructed from granite ashlar and features a rectangular plan with a nave and aisles that form a single vessel, which was originally covered by a three-span roof. The church includes a west tower and a short apse at the east end.
The building is designed in a Gothick style and has two storeys, with a three-stage tower that includes weathered bands on two levels extending across the aisles. The tower has octagonal shafts at the corners that rise to tall pinnacles, a blocked four-centred arched west doorway, and a two-centred arched three-light traceried window on the second stage. The third stage is tall and features small two-light belfry windows with gablets above, flanked by the pinnacles, topped with a squat octagonal spire and a fleche.
The end walls of the aisles have smaller versions of the doors and four-centred three-light windows above. The five-bay side walls have square-headed windows at ground level and two-centred windows above. The east end is adorned with high-set four-centred windows that have stone tracery and remnants of stained glass. The interior has been destroyed.
