Description
No. 7 Foundry Square is a house dating from around the mid-19th century. It has painted rubble walls with dressed granite sills and lintels. The roof is hipped, covered with slurried scantle slate, and features projecting eaves along with a brick chimney on each side wall. The building has cast-iron ogee gutters. The layout consists of a single depth plan with two equal reception rooms at the front, flanking a central entrance hall that leads to a stair hall. There is a small rear service room on the left side. The exterior is two storeys high and presents a symmetrical three-window front with a central doorway. The original door is a six-panel design, and the windows are twelve-pane hornless sashes. The interior has not been inspected but likely retains its original features and joinery.
