Description
The building known as "The Welcome" is a house attached to the left of Lynmouth Cottage, likely dating from the late 18th century or early 19th century, and has been altered. It features a rendered exterior, probably on cob, and a slurried slate roof. The house has a double-depth plan, is two storeys high, and has two symmetrical bays. It has raised quoins and a central doorway with a plain surround. On each floor, there are two recessed 4-pane sashed windows, all with raised surrounds. The house has gable chimneys. At the rear, the roof extends down to two low storeys, which also have 4-pane sashed windows. The interior has not been inspected. This building forms a group with Lynmouth Cottage, which is attached at the right-hand end, and with a carpenter's shop located opposite.
