Pair of attached houses, probably originally one house. Probably C18 with C19 and C20 alterations. Rendered stone rubble. Slate roof with ridge tiles and gable ends. Rear slope in scantle slate. Gable end stacks with brick shafts. Plan: The original plan is not clear; the house may have been a 2-room plan, divided as two houses with one room to left (Ye Old Post Office) and one house to right. The house to right appears to be of one-room plan, heated from the gable end stack to right. The house to left has one room to left heated from the gable end stack to left and an addition to front of circa mid C19. Ye Old Post Office has a rear service wing of one-room plan, probably of circa late C19 and the house attached to right has a smaller service wing to rear, also of one-room plan. Exterior: 2 storeys, asymmetrical 3 window front. Ye Old Post Office has single storey addition to front left, with C19 16-pane sash and porch with glazed front and hipped glazed roof, 18 panes to front; C20 half-glazed door at the right side. There is a half-glazed door to right. At first floor two C19 2-light 8-pane casements. The house to right has C20 glazed door and C19 3-light 10-pane casement at ground floor. At first floor there is a C19 2-light 8-pane casement. At the rear, Ye Old Post Office has a 2-storey rear wing with hipped roof, late C19 4-pane sash at first floor and 2-storey C20 addition set in the angle to the main range. The attached house has a rear wing of one storey with loft, with half-hipped end roof and end stack with truncated brick shaft. C19 multi-pane window at upper level at the rear of the wing. Interior: Not accessible but may retain features such as panelled doors.
