Description

GRAMPOUND FORE STREET (north side), Grampound SW 9248-9348 WITH CREED 7/40 Lindley - GV II

House. Early-mid C19 with few later alterations. Stone rubble with granite dressings. Scantle slate roof with ridge tiles and gable ends. Gable end stacks with brick shafts. Plan: Double depth plan with central entrance, principal room to front right and left, of equal size, each room heated from a gable end stack. Shallow rear service rooms. Exterior: 2 storeys, symmetrical 3 window front; All windows are C19 6-pane sashes with segmental granite arches at ground floor and cambered arches at first floor. Central C19 3-panelled door with round-arched panels and sidelights, set in a recessed porch with freestanding square plan granite piers supporting a granite cornice. Modillion cornice and granite quoins. Right end blind. Interior: Not inspected.
