Description

April Cottage is a house from the mid-19th century with few later alterations, located on the south side of Grampound Fore Street. The building is constructed of stone rubble, which is rendered and lined out, and features a slurried scantle slate roof with ridge tiles and gable ends. The stack has been removed.

The house has a small two-room plan, with one room at the front and one at the rear on the left side, and the entrance is at the right end of the front. The exterior is two storeys high and has a two-window front. On the ground floor, there is a 19th-century four-panelled door on the right with an overlight, and a 19th-century four-pane sash window to the left. The first floor features two 19th-century plate-glass sash windows. The interior is not accessible.
