Description
Fairman House is a house built in the mid to late 19th century, with some 20th-century alterations. It is constructed of stone rubble with a stucco front and features a slate roof with ridge tiles and gable ends. The house has a gable end stack to the left with a brick shaft. The layout consists of a two-room plan with a central entrance; the principal rooms are of equal size on the front right and left, while there is a service wing at the rear right.
The exterior is two storeys high and has a symmetrical three-window front. The ground floor features rusticated quoins that are painted on the stucco at the first floor level, along with a plinth and a patterned plaster band course. The ground floor has a central recessed 20th-century glazed door with an overlight and cornice, flanked by plate-glass sash windows with sidelights from the late 19th century. The first floor has three late 19th-century four-pane sash windows. The interior has not been inspected.
