Description

The stables and earth closets at the rear of Bellair House are a pair of identical structures, likely built in the early to mid-19th century. They are constructed from painted granite rubble with granite dressings and feature wooden lintels. The buildings have a hipped roof covered with slurried scantle slate. The layout consists of a small rectangular building with two doorways at the front and an additional doorway in each side wall towards the rear. The exterior remains unaltered, showcasing ledged doors. The interior has not been inspected. These service buildings are significant as they are unaltered and closely relate to a pair of contemporary houses that are also virtually unaltered.
