Description

The Trereife vault, located northeast of the Church of St Maddern, is a sarcophagus chest over a vault, dating from the early 19th century. It is associated with the Trereife family. The sarcophagus is made of dressed granite and features ball feet, tapered sides, roll-moulded upper and lower edges, and a pyramidal lid. It has a rectangular plan and is set on a stepped granite base.
