Description

No. 7, a house with front garden walls, likely dates from the 18th century. The house is constructed of painted rubble with granite dressings, and has a scantle slate roof topped by an original large rubble chimney stack on the right-hand gable end. The plan consists of two rooms: a wider room on the left, likely originally the hall or kitchen, and a parlour to the right, with an entrance lobby situated between. The south-east front is slightly asymmetrical, featuring two windows, with a doorway positioned to the right of the middle. The doorway has a 20th-century ledged door. The windows are circa late 19th or 20th century, four-pane horned sashes. The interior was not inspected. Running parallel to the front of the house is an 18th-century granite rubble wall with a granite coping, and a gateway aligned with the house’s doorway.
