Description

Number 30 is a house, now used as an office, dating from around 1770. It is built of brick with limestone ashlar dressings and has brick stacks, although the roof is not visible. The building has a double-depth plan and features a symmetrical mid-Georgian front with rusticated pilasters and a moulded coping on the parapet. The central entrance has a pedimented doorcase supported by brackets, with canted bays on either side at ground level featuring 20th-century glazing. Above, there are Venetian windows with 6/6-pane sashes and interlaced heads. The interior was completely restored around 1980, resulting in the loss of most period details. The property also has wrought-iron railings leading to the steps.
