Description

Number 25 is a late 18th-century house with attached front area walls, piers, and railings, located on Montague Hill in Kingsdown, Bristol. The house is rendered with limestone dressings and has a double-depth plan. It is constructed over three storeys and a basement, with a single bay. The front of the house has a moulded coping to the parapet. The right-hand entrance block is set back, featuring a doorway with thin brackets supporting a pediment, an overlight of three panes, and a six-panel door. A full-height central canted bay contains 6/6-pane sash windows on the upper floors, with 3/6-pane sashes on the second floor. The basement area projects forward, with a low, brick segmental-arched doorway. The interior of the house has not been inspected. Attached to the right is a rubble wall with saddleback coping, alongside capped piers and railings forming the front area.
