Description
This is a mid-18th century carriage house, later refronted and converted into a house. It is located on Somerset Street in Kingsdown, Bristol. The building is rendered with limestone dressings and has a roof that is not visible. It is two storeys high plus a basement, and has a two-window front. A moulded coping runs along the top. The right-hand side features a doorway with pilaster strips supporting a bracketed canopy, and a six-panel door. A canted bay on the left-hand side contains six-pane sash windows. The interior was completely rebuilt around 1985. The building is listed for its group value and as a rare example of its building type in the city.
