Description
No. 3 Somerset Street is an attached house dated 1765, located in Kingsdown, Bristol. The exterior features stucco with limestone dressings and a brick garden front, with the roof not visible. The building has two storeys and a basement, with a two-window range. Notable architectural details include a moulded coping, a left-hand doorway that has narrow moulded brackets supporting a canopy, and a six-panel door with the top four panels raised. The right-hand bay is canted and made of ashlar, featuring timber pilaster strips and six-over-six pane sash windows, with three-over-three panes on the second floor. Inside, the entrance hall has panelled wainscot and a central staircase. The house was formerly connected to No. 3A, which was a carriage house.
