Description

Number 15 is an attached house located on Somerset Street in Kingsdown, Bristol, dated 1768 by its owner. The building features a rendered exterior with limestone dressings and has a double-depth plan in the late Georgian style. It stands three storeys high with a basement and has a two-window range. The moulded parapet coping adds to its architectural detail. The right-hand door is adorned with thin consoles supporting a timber pediment that has a dentil cornice, a rectangular overlight, and a six-panel door. The ground floor has a wide sash window with margin bars, while the first-floor sashes include 6/6-panes on the left and 4/4-panes on the right. The second floor features sashes with 3/6-panes on the left and 2/4-panes on the right.

Inside, the hall is divided by pilasters leading to a semicircular arch. There is a central lateral dogleg stair with a toadback, a ramped rail, column balusters and newels, and a modillion cornice. The rear bay is framed by moulded panels, and there are two-panel shutters and six-panel doors. The property also includes attached front area railings.
