Description

The war memorial Calvary, located adjacent to the Church of All Saints on Pembroke Road, was designed in 1928 by F C Eden. It commemorates the worshippers who lost their lives in the Great War, with additional names from the Second World War included. The memorial is made of stone and features a rounded arch on a polygonal base, flanked by obelisks. It supports a wooden Calvary cross that is surrounded by stone figures, making it an unusual and prominent memorial.
