Description

The war memorial in the churchyard of All Saints Church, dating from around 1920, was designed by F.C. Eden. It is made of Clipsham limestone and resembles a medieval churchyard preaching cross. The memorial features a pentagonal stepped base supporting an octagonal shaft. At the top, a brattished capital holds the cross, which is adorned with a circular wreath around each of its four arms. The names of those who fell in both World Wars are carved in Gothic lettering around the steps of the base. This finely-detailed memorial stands next to All Saints Church.
