Description
No. 10 St James's Close is a former pair of houses, now combined into one, dating from the late 18th century. The building is constructed of painted brick with a plinth and has a tiled roof. It features a double-depth plan and stands two storeys tall, with an attic and basement, presenting a three-window range. The exterior includes a plinth and a brick cogged eaves cornice. There are steps leading up to a left-hand doorway, which has a bracketed canopy and an architrave surrounding a four-panel door. The windows consist of 6/6-pane sashes in flush frames, with flat brick arches above them. The ground-floor windows have cambered heads, while the first-floor windows have flat heads. Additionally, there are two hipped dormers and cambered heads above two basement openings. A former doorway has been converted into a middle window. The interior has not been inspected.
