Description

This is a street lamp located at the junction of West Street and Thames Street, at the entrance to St James's Churchyard in Poole. It was built in the late 19th century and is made of cast iron. The lamp features a round plinth with a decorated panel, a band adorned with shells, and the Arms of Poole above it. There is an enriched band below the column, which has decorative spiral binding. The lamp is supported by scrolled brackets and has a tapered square shape, topped with a cap and finial.
