Description

No. 2 Bridge Street is an early 19th-century building with a painted brick facade and a slate roof that is hipped at the western end. It has two storeys, featuring one window on the upper floor and two on the ground floor, one of which replaces a door but retains its radial fanlight. All windows are sash style with glazing bars. The river-facing facade has three windows, with the central ground floor window being advanced and set within an architrave.

This building is part of a group that includes Nos 2 to 24 (even) and Nos 1 to 7 (odd), as well as Nos 1 to 3 (consecutive) Willow Place and the Town Bridge, which connects Castle Street and Bridge Street. Nos 1 to 3 (consecutive) Willow Place and No. 22 Bridge Street are also noted for their local interest.
