Description
No. 18 Bridge Street is an early to mid 19th-century building constructed of red brick. It features a plinth, a brick eaves cornice, and a slate roof. The building is two storeys high and has three sash windows with segmental arches. The first floor windows have glazing bars, while the ground floor windows have late 19th-century glazing. There is a central door. On the east side, there is a 19th-century shop window that includes a cornice, a plain frieze, an architrave, and pilasters, although most of the glazing bars are missing.
Nos. 2 to 24 (even) form a group with Nos. 1 to 7 (odd) and Nos. 1 to 3 (consecutive) Willow Place, Bridge Street, as well as the Town Bridge that connects Castle Street and Bridge Street. Nos. 1 to 3 Willow Place, Bridge Street, and No. 22 Bridge Street are of local interest.
