Description
102 and 102A High Street is a house from the early 19th century that is currently used as a commercial premises.
The building is constructed from brick, featuring gauged brick arches over the openings, brick chimney stacks, and a slate roof. It has a double-depth plan and stands two storeys high with a cellar, presenting a three-window range to the High Street. The shop fronts, which were previously from the mid-20th century, were altered around 2019 and extend across the width of the building, topped by a deep, projecting modern canopy. At the first-floor level, there are three six-over-six-pane sash windows with gauged brick flat arches above, and the eaves have a deep overhang.
Inside, the ground floor has been gutted, but the rear central stair retains a bow-fronted stair hall.
