Description

House, early C19, now (2022) in use as a commercial premises.

MATERIALS: built from brick with gauged brick arches to the openings, brick chimney stacks and a slate roof.

PLAN: double-depth plan.

EXTERIOR: the building is two storeys high with a cellar and is a three-window range facing onto the High Street. The shop fronts which dated previously to the mid-C20 were altered in around 2019. They run the width of the building and there is a deep, projecting, modern canopy above. There are gauged brick flat arches to the three six-over-six-pane sashes at first-floor level, which formerly had a full-width cast-iron balcony. Eaves have a deep overhang.

INTERIOR: it is understood that the ground floor has been gutted, but that the rear central stair has retained a bow-fronted stair hall.
