BELVEDERE (East side) No. 30A and attached railings (Formerly Listed as: LANSDOWN ROAD (East side) No. 30A Belvedere) 05/08/75

GV II

Shop with accommodation over. c1800 with c1870 shop front. MATERIALS: Limestone ashlar to front, left side and rear; hipped parapeted roof with double Romans to front has ashlar stack at apex of roof to front, small ashlar stack with early clay pot rising from wall to rear right. EXTERIOR: Two storey three window front. First floor has three six/six sashes in plain reveals with stone sills on console brackets with wrought iron balconettes; ground floor has timber shop front with two pane plate glass window with smaller panes over a timber stall riser flanked by door with two moulded panels and overlight to upper floor to left, similar half-glazed door to shop to right. Four pilasters flanking doors support entablature over. Frieze, moulded eaves cornice and coped parapet. Right side has two windows similar to first floor front to each of ground floor and first floor; plinth, band course over ground floor, frieze, cornice and parapet continued from front. Rear elevation not visible. INTERIOR: Not inspected. SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: Short length of railings with handrail attached to right of door.
