Description
No. 30 and 30A on Tamworth Street is a house that has been converted into a shop and office, dating from around 1810. The building is constructed of brick with ashlar dressings and features a graduated slate roof with truncated end stacks. It has a double-depth plan and is designed in the Georgian style. The structure stands three storeys high and has a three-window range. There is a sill band at the first floor and a cornice at the top. The large traditional-style shop front includes a side entrance to the right and returns to the left. The first-floor windows have rubbed brick flat arches above 12-pane sash windows, while the second-floor windows also have sills. The first-floor windows are adorned with bowed cast-iron balconies.
