Description
The Lombard Chinese Restaurant (part) is located on Lombard Street in Lichfield. This building comprises two shops, one of which is now a wine bar. It dates from the 18th and 19th centuries and features an earlier timber frame. The structure is made of brick with a tiled roof and brick stacks. It has two storeys, with a two-window range on the left and a later two-window range on the right. The left range has a top moulded cornice. There are two shop fronts; the right one is from the late 19th century, complete with a cornice and fascia, while the left one is more recent, featuring a recessed entrance and canopy. On the first floor, there is a window with a three-light casement and another with a four-over-six pane sash. The right range has two entrances, one of which is blocked, and two 20th-century canted oriels with small-paned casements. The first floor also includes gabled half dormers with three-light small-paned casements. The rear of the building features two gables on the right and two large blocked segmental-headed openings on the left, along with some 20th-century additions. Inside, the right range has a cross wall with square framing and an ovolo-moulded beam. Part of the right range is associated with No. 7, The Lombard Chinese Restaurant.
