Description
Nos. 7, 9, and 11 Lombard Street are two houses that have been converted into shops and a flat. They date back to the 17th century and have undergone later alterations. The buildings are constructed of brick, with the right half featuring a timber-framed first floor, and they have a tiled roof with brick stacks.
The structure is two storeys high and has a four-window range. The left half displays a brick platt band and a cogged brick cornice, while the right half has brick underbuilding supporting a close-studded first floor with a moulded bressumer. There are segmental-headed entrances at each end with 20th-century doors, and a late 20th-century shop front on the right half.
On the ground floor, the left half has two segmental-headed windows, which contain two-light small-paned casements with opening panes. The first floor features two segmental-headed windows with two-light small-paned casements, along with two smaller windows that have six-light casements. There are two stacks located at the front of the ridge, and the rear of the building is similar in appearance. Inside, the property retains some chamfered beams.
