Description

No. 25 Lombard Street is a house that has been converted into an office. It was likely built in the late 17th century or early 18th century, with alterations made in the mid-19th century. The building has an L-shaped plan and is constructed of brick with some timber framing, topped with a tiled roof and a T-plan brick chimney stack. It stands two stories high and features a three-window range. The exterior includes a plastered plinth and a brick cornice at the top. The entrance is framed by a doorcase with panelled pilasters, a frieze, and a cornice, leading to a six-fielded-panel door. On the left side, there is a segmental-headed carriage entrance with paired plank doors. The segmental-headed windows have sills and four-pane horned sashes, with the first-floor window on the left being smaller. The rear of the building displays exposed timber framing with brick infill and bracing, featuring two first-floor windows with two-light casements that include iron opening casements. There is also a gabled wing to the left with casement windows. Inside, some chamfered beams and a large fireplace can be found in the room on the left.
