Description
No. 35 Lombard Street is a house that has been converted into an office, built around 1780. It is constructed of brick with ashlar dressings and features a hipped tile roof with large brick return stacks. The building has a double-depth plan and is designed in the Georgian style. It stands three storeys tall and has an almost symmetrical three-window arrangement.
The exterior includes an ashlar plinth, ground and first floor sill bands, and a top cornice. The round-headed entrance features a doorcase with pilasters, an entablature, and a pediment, along with an early type fanlight that has wooden glazing bars, situated above a six-flush-panel door. To the right, there is a smaller segmental-headed entrance with a six-fielded-panel door. The windows are topped with rubbed brick flat arches over twelve-pane sashes, while the second-floor windows have sills and six-pane sashes. The left return of the building has varied fenestration, and the rear of the property adjoins Lombard Gardens.
