Description
6 Caroline Place is a house dating from around 1820. It features a front made of limestone ashlar, which is painted at the ground floor, and ashlar at the rear. The building has a double pile parapeted roof that is hipped to the right, covered with Welsh slate on both the front and rear. There is a coped party wall to the left with two rebuilt brick stacks topped with early clay pots.
The house is three storeys high with a basement and has a single window range. On the first floor, there is a six-over-six sash window in a plain reveal with a stone sill, and the second floor has a similar window. The ground floor features a similar window to the left and a six-panel door to the right, which has flush reeded panels, fielded panels with voided corners, and glazed panels in a plain reveal. The basement has a six-over-six sash window in a plain reveal with splayed jambs, partially above ground and with a grating in the pavement. The building has a moulded eaves cornice and a coped parapet. The rear elevation, which is partially visible, also has six-over-six sashes. The interior has not been inspected.
